Developer Collaboration: Installation
The Developer Collaboration modules are currently available on the NetBeans
update center.
Follow these steps to install Developer Collaboration modules into the NetBeans IDE:
for version 5.0
- Start the NetBeans IDE
- Go to the Tools | Update Center
- Make sure you have checked "NetBeans Update Center" and follow the steps in the Update Wizard.
- Select the Developer Collaboration item in the Features section.
- Finish the wizard. The Collaborate menu should appear in the main menu bar.
for version 6.0 and newer
- Start the NetBeans IDE
- Go to the Tools | Plugins
- Make sure you have checked "Additional Plugins" and follow the steps in the NetBeans IDE Installer.
- Select the Developer Collaboration item in the Available Plugins section.
- Finish the wizard. The Collaborate menu should appear in the main menu bar.
